A special edition of the album SOLID GROUND by the Irish singer and songwriter EUGENE BROSNAN is being released and features 3 bonus tracks recorded at the SOLID GROUND sessions in Aachen in 2004.

Another classic from Springsteen, ATLANTIC CITY is included here, stripped down to the bare essentials, acoustic guitar and  voice.
AIDAN, written by Brosnan’s long time friend and collaborator, JEREMIAH O’KEEFFE is a poignant ballad to the authors nephew, pleading with the child not to grow up,but instead  stay where he dreams of ice-cream mountains, and gets goodnight kisses from cartoon characters…!!!
The third bonus track featuring Harry Alfter, is  Brosnan’s own composition, written to his friend JEREMIAH, the author of the previous track who receded from the world of live performance and touring due to a long term illness…“listen to the earth Jeremiah, listen to the earth for all our sakes, fasten that seat-belt all around you” …

 

To coincide with the release, an animated video by German film maker and illustrator Tobias Lehnen ,of another track from the album, Greg Brown’s Spring Wind, will appear on youtube and other internet distribution outlets very soon.
